Fred W Beal was born in Gaston County, North Carolina in 1921. The young pitcher's brief minor league career saw him hurl for the Mooresville Moors of the Class D North Carolina State League in 1941 where he was 5-5 with a 4.60 ERA. In 1942 he was 9-11 with Mooresville and 2-3 with the Sanford Seminoles of the Class D Florida State League before entering service on October 24, 1942.

 

Private White, who was married by the time he entered military service, served with the US Army at Camp White in Oregon. He died at the 79th General Hospital at Camp White while stationed there on February 11, 1944.
