Harry N Imhoff Jr was born on June 17, 1926 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a star athlete at Mount St Joe High School and signed with the Baltimore Orioles immediately after graduation.
Imhoff spent the 1944 season with the Orioles before being called into military service. The young catcher served with the Marines and was killed in action at Okinawa in early 1945. He was just 19 years old.
