Jack A Nealy was born on February 14, 1924 in Langdale, Alabama. He attended Fairfax High School and signed with Birmingham of the Southern Association late in 1943.
Nealy played just one game with Birmingham, failing to get a hit in his only at-bat. The following year he was with the Marines where he saw action in the Pacific.
Private Jack Nealy was killed in action on Iwo Jima on March 2, 1945. He was 21 years old.
